Beach Gizmos
What if you didn’t have to get one of those annoying beach badges every time you went to the beach? What if you could enjoy the summer and sand without having to attach a piece of plastic to your bathing suit? Well, a beach in New Jersey is in the process of making some major changes that will simplify life for visitors. How are they doing it? Technology, of course!
Ocean City, New Jersey, will soon implement a very hi-tech plan previously considered far-fetched. Apparently, the future is much closer to the present in Ocean City than in other regions. A whole new world of convenience will soon be at the fingertips of those who want to spend less time worrying about plastic badges and more time simply enjoying the warm temperatures and refreshing waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Those who attend the Ocean City beach will soon be able to wear a wristband that will do everything for them that they could ever need. The technologically advanced wristbands will allow beachgoers to pay for beach access, parking and food by automatically withdrawing funds from their bank accounts.
Furthermore, parents will be thrilled to know that the wristbands can be linked. If a mother goes to a beach with her children and one of them happens to wander past the exit, her cell phone will receive a text message alerting her. You can imagine the extent to which parents will be relieved to know that their kids cannot go too far without them knowing about it!
The entire electronic system is expected to save the Ocean City beach millions of dollars by reducing the need for security checkers. The beach currently has more than 150 employees responsible for making sure that the crowds of more than 60,000 are filled with those who have paid the access fees.
Save for those 150+ employees who will soon become obsolete, the new wristbands and electronic system in Ocean City will make life more pleasurable for all involved.
