Google Has a Toybox for You!
If you have a webpage and you want to make it just that much more useful, or just plain fun, then go to Google's "Gadgets for Your Webpage". They have about a million little things that you can add to your page to make sure your visitors stay a long time. Heck, you'll probably want to hang around and play with some of these gadgets.
Of course, not all of the gadgets are things you actually play with. Some of them are maps and time clocks and things like that, which people won't really notice unless you add them for a while and then take them away. Then they'll say, "Hey, where'd the clock go?"
Other options are Google Docs and Spreadsheets, for those of you who just have to do office-type things and be on your webpage at the same time. You can put on a YouTube Search gizmo, which is cool, because it is very important to be plugged in to YouTube. You don't want to miss the latest installment of Red State Update or the newest LOL cat.
There are games. Lots of games. Remember that Simon Game constantly being advertised on television, involving colored flashing lights and hitting a buzzer really fast? Well, you can get a version of that for your webpage. I wouldn't slap it though. Computers tend to have nasty reactions to being slapped.
You can get PacMan v2.4, an Mp3 player, a Current Moon Phase doohickey, and a little spider that will follow your cursor around. You can change his look and everything. All that is just on the first page of Google Gadgets, and there is more that isn't on the first page.
