Telenav - One Cool Car Gadget
How would you like to toss your bulky, crash-inducing maps out the window? Well, now you can. (Well, not really. Littering fines are $1,000 in a lot of places, and you don't want that.)
TeleNav allows you to figuratively throw your maps out the window by providing verbal navigation that gives you step-by-step, turn-by-turn directions better than any shotgun-riding companion ever could. Besides, it's a cool toy, and we all love those.
It isn't a separate device, however. TeleNav is something you install on your phone, and it's totally cool. Here are just a few of the things that it does:
TeleNav will tell you what street you are on, the next turn to take and the next street to turn onto. It will also tell you how much longer until your next turn and the number of miles left to go before you reach your destination. It will even tell you if that destination is on the left- or right-hand side of the street.
TeleNav also has a nifty little feature called the Biz Finder, programmed with over 10 million businesses across the United States. After locating the business in TeleNav, you can then get TeleNav to talk you through getting there. And that's not all.
A lot of those businesses are service stations. Not only that, TeleNav keeps up with the actual fuel prices of the service station, updating every day. This is a great thing to have, now that U.S. fuel prices are catching up with the rest of the world.
TeleNav will also find Wi-Fi spots for you and parking spaces. You can even bookmark a spot, like a parking space, so that you can find it again easily.
Updates are free and automatic.
